He is considered to be the most handsome James Bond. But his main advantage is the talent that allows him to transform in a different of ways. Nevertheless he has been faithful to the only woman, his wife Keeley Shay Smith for 27 years.

His dad left the family when his son was a yearold, and his mom had to work hard to provide a decent life for herself and the child. They were living in Ireland, and when Pierce was 4 his mother moved to London, where she was able to get a job as a nurse.

She entrusted the care of her son to her parents. After their deaths, he lived first with an aunt, then an uncle, and after that he was put in boarding school. His childhood was quite lonely. However he never blamed his mother.

When he was 11, he finally left Ireland to reunite with his mom and her new husband,  in Scotland. Later they all moved to London together.

After high school, Pierce was going to be an artist and even studied at St. Martin’s School of Art. One day he unintentionally got into a rehearsal at the theatre Ovalhouse and decided to try himself as an actor. He enrolled at the London Centre for Dramatic Art and only then felt in his place. The profession of an actor was a liberation for him, a step into another life.

He was not yet damous, when the young artist met the Australian actress Cassandra Harris. From the first minutes of acquaintance Pierce was struck by her beauty.

They got married in December 1980,. Pierce adopted 2 children from his wife’s previous marriage. And Cassandra made him happy with the birth of their common son Sean.

Unfortunately, the happiness of this family lasted not long: seven years after the wedding, the actor’s wife was diagnosed with cancer. They were four long years were struggling with an insidious disease, but could not win. At the end of December 1991, Cassandra Harris left this world.

Everything changed in 1994, when the actor in a Mexican resort town met an American journalist Keely Shay Smith. They met in one of the many bars where there was a beach party. Keeley was supposed to interview another actor, but he just cancelled at the last moment. It must have been fate, because it was that evening that the journalist met Pierce Brosnan.

Keeley Shay Smith had quite an impressive track record, but that seemed to be the least of the actor’s interest. She worked as a correspondent for the show Unsolved Mysteries. She won the actor’s heart with her positive attitude toward life, her ability to hold a conversation on any topic, and her own opinions on all issues. In addition, she was very good-looking.

At the end of the evening Pierce Brosnan has already dated her. The first date was followed by the second one, and soon it was physically impossible for them to be apart for a long time. Pierce, flying to the set, immediately sent her tickets so that she could come to him. He was constantly bored and no longer imagined life without Keeley. However, they officially registered their relationship only seven years later, when they have grown two sons, Dylan and Paris. They got married in Ireland at Ballintubber Abbey Catholic Church.

They were considered to be the most spectacular couple in Hollywood. But the fact is that Keeley Shay Smith after the second birth began to gain weight and very quickly ceased to conform to Hollywood standards of beauty.

It got to the point where Pierce Brosnan began to be called «handsome» and his wife, in contrast, «a monster». Many people openly spoke and wrote on the page of the actor in social networks about the need to change Keeley for a more sympathetic beauty, next to which a famous and, most importantly, handsome Pierce is not ashamed to appear in public. And Brosnan immediately rushed to the defense of his beloved woman.

He answered rather sharply, but he was right in stating: Keeley is not only his wife, but also the mother of his children. Besides, without her presence he would never have reached such heights in his art. It is thanks to her and her presence in his life he is able to create and achieve success. He does not need any leggy beauties, moreover, the actor has often talked about his fear of losing his wife.

Pierce Brosnan categorically forbade his wife to even think about losing weight with the help of surgeries. He thinks such operations are senseless. The actor loved Keeley when she was a slender beauty, but now he feels no worse about her. To him, she will always remain the most beautiful and desirable woman in the world.

Keeley was by Pierce’s side when he mourned his daughter Charlotte, who died of cancer. Pierce over the years has never given his wife any reason to doubt his love. He has always talked about the many qualities of Keeley and admits that he is especially attracted by her independence. She can easily do without him if they suddenly break up.
