Two years ago, the girl saved one little creature, and now it is her good friend

In the winter of 2019, Jessica found a strange animal in her yard. It was clear that this was a cub, but he was so tiny that it was immposible to discern whom. The baby was completely bald, his eyes were still closed, and he weighed only 40 grams.

The girl took him to her house, warmed him up and decided to take him to the center where they help homeless animals. Unfortunately, there was no room, and the workers informed Jessica that they would be forced to euthanize the baby. At that moment, the girl realized that she was the only chance for him.

Jessica found a box in which she arranged a bed for him and fed him with a special mixture every two hours with a pipette. The first days and nights were a real nightmare, the girl did not get enough sleep and was worried about the baby all the time. After searching for information on the Web, she realized that this was a baby squirrel. Maybe he fell out of the nest. His skin was almost translucent, and its paws were tiny with thin claws.

The sweet baby was named Steve. And Jessica’s nephews were simply delighted with him, he reminded them of a little alien.

At first, the girl took Steve with her to work so as not to miss feedings. But over time the little squirrel learned to eat himself. He grew and gained weight and became like an ordinary squirrel.

Steve loved to sit on Jessica’s shoulder and gradually learned to conquer the trees.

So that the fluffy would not feel cramped and sad in the cage, the hostess made for him a real mini-house on the street, there is a feeder, a bedroom, and several levels for climbing. Steve was very happy with his home.

Jessica wanted her pet to get used to a full and normal life in nature. And so it happened, at some point Steve even disappeared and did not return for several days, but then he returned not alone, but with a girlfriend. This means that the adaptation was successful and the animal learned to get its own food and contact with its brethren.

Now Steve often runs away into the woods and periodically returns to his human friend.

And Jessica is happy that she was able to save the squirrel and give him a chance for a happy life.
