Twin elephants imitate their mother’s every move

The Pinnawala Elephant Sanctuary was established by the Department of Wildlife Conservation of Sri Lanka. Recently a beautiful female elephant gave birth to adorable twin elephant cubs at the sanctuary. The newborns were an exact copy of their mother and were in good health.

Even the caretakers of the reserve did not forget to take care of the cubs and their mother. The cubs were adorable and their sweet gestures delighted visitors to the orphanage.

The mother and two brothers lived in an open enclosure with a small pond filled with water. The mother elephant always kept the babies close to her, which was a natural maternal instinct.

The twin elephant cubs grazed on the grass in the enclosure with their mother and enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. Visitors were intrigued by their antics. The adorable creatures were still learning how to graze.

The mother elephant was trying to help her babies learn something new and enjoy bathing in the sand. However, it was fun to watch the babies copying their mother’s every move.

The two babies drank water if the elephant mother drank. If the mother stood still, they did the same. The gentle mother elephant even allowed a few visitors to come up to her to take a few pictures.

After a while, the two elephants were playing with each other and with their kind caretaker. Soon other members of the herd joined them, and the elephants went to bathe at a nearby water source.
