Traffic stops due to an elephant taking a nap in the middle of the road

This is the fantastic moment when an elephant takes a nap in the middle of the street provoking a traffic congestion.

The headstrong animal in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, was laying still for about 20 minutes.

Finally, the elephant gets up.

Authorities say that the animal is spotted lying quite often on the concrete in the colder seasons.

The elephant was called Nga-Thong.

It translates to “golden ivory” in Thai. He is very and generally avoids noise, cars and busses.

As stated by a driver he was waiting around 20 minutes until he eventually got up. He was late for his shift at work that day but he was glad to see him so close.
