Though he has short legs, he has a keen sense of smell: Red has been on the police force for 7.5 years

This corgi dog’s name is Red and he worked as an officer for the Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, transport police. Such dogs are rarely hired by the authorities, but because of his keen sense of smell, Red became a very valuable employee.

Red was loved not only by his colleagues, but also by ordinary citizens. His owner has started a page of the dog in social networks, and here she also announced that he was leaving for a well-deserved retirement.

The dog is 9 years old and had been with the police for 7.5 of those years. He was going to retire in 2019, but his contract was extended for another year.

At home, of course, the dog is not going to lie around all day and grow a belly, he will continue to lead an active lifestyle and exercise.
