This newborn squirrel was found in one of the New York apartments and kind people raised her to be a real cutie
A woman in New York found a pile of branches on her bed containing newborn squirrels. She was not taken aback and immediately turned to a girl who is engaged in the rehabilitation of orphaned squirrels. The name of the rescuer is Christina Reis who began to nurse the babies, but, unfortunately, only one of the baby squirrels could survive.
It turned out to be a girl whom the couple named Thumbelina. She got this name because of her tiny size. Christina and her husband Michael raised the baby and got used to her so much that they could not let her go into the wild. Thumbelina has become a full-fledged member of the family, and the couple even call her their child.
They tried to take Thumbelina to the park, but she felt very uncomfortable there. Seeing other squirrels, she curled up into a ball and did not want to contact them.
Thumbelina loves to sleep with her owners and wear cute hats.
Christina believes that squirrels deserve love and care no less than other pets.
Thumbelina is very lucky to be in such caring hands of this married couple and she thanks them for this love. Christina and Mike proved that not only dogs and cats can make great pets.
