This Azerbaijanian man turned his house into an animal shelter
There are many kind people who do everything they can to help the ones in need. The hero of today`s story went above and beyond to save stray animals and even organized a shelter in his summer cottage.
This man is Farid Mansurov.
One day he picked a dog, which lost a paw as a result of an accident. Later, he could not turn his back on a tiny homeless puppy. The amount of rescued dogs grew, as well as the man`s fame. This is how animal rights activists found out about him, and began bringing suffering animals to him. As a result, the pet number increased to more than 300 individuals.
Farid turned his “dacha” (a seasonal home) near Baku, Azerbaijan, into an animal shelter in October 2016. He called the place “The Good World Shelter”. The man picks up animals that suffered a lot from cruel people and often have serious injuries. The shelter provides the poor souls not only with treatment but also psychological rehabilitation, they are taught to trust humans again.
After recovery, anyone can take the dog from the shelter, but to do so, people have to prove their sincerity.
Farid receives some help from friends, family, and caring subscribers, but it is very difficult to look after that many animals, so the shelter struggles a lot. Farid has repeatedly turned to the authorities and his readers for help, and often the officials were not cooperative.
Fortunately, the shelter is still working, and if you want to get the updates and, possibly, help the zoo activist, then you can check this Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/goodworld.shelter/
