The university gave the service dog his own degree for always being by his owner’s side
Service dogs are really valuable and honorable animals. They not only give a medical and emotional help but also just are faithful and devoted pets whom you can trust when you are in trouble.
Brittany Hawley had a complex regional pain syndrome and used a wheelchair. She needed a service dog and found one with paws4prisons program. So when she first met the animal named Griffin she knew he was her real guard. Griffin immediately jumped on her and kissed her warmly.
Griffin appeared in the girl’s life when she was going to attend Clarkson University to get a master’s degree in occupational therapy. So at that time the dog proved he was a true companion. Every day he came for classes with Brittany helping her in everything like opening doors or comforting his firend when she was in an anxiety or depression. The girl felt more comforted, sociable and confident with him.
The two survived and overcome all the difficulties in the university untill Brittany reached the graduation. She knew that without Griffin she couldn’t continue and have a will to fulfil her dream. She wanted her guradian to get his own degree as they graduated together.
Amazingly, the university agreed to give the dog such a praise as everyone noticed all the efforts he made for his best friend. So Griffin walked across the stage with Brittany and received his degree for «special contribution to student success». It was really wonderful moment.
After graduation Brittany will persue her wish to work as a therapist and of course her adorable companion will be by her side in everything. He really deserves all the love and devotion that his owner gives him.
