The smallest horse has dwarfism but doesn’t mind being a little different

This horse is different from most horses at the shelter. He is quite small compared to the others.

11 years ago, he was living in a neglected San Antonio property.

He was about two months old when he was saved. He arrived with both larger horses and a family of little miniature horses.

Most of the animals were taken away by the police and now reside at the center, including this horse.

He was carried from the rescue site on a person’s lap to the front seat of the truck because he is so little.

Because small horses are sometimes born to negligent owners, dwarfism is a problem that often affects them.

There are structural differences that can often lead to health problems.
Fortunately, the horse is relatively healthy, although he has a bent back. He is very cute.

Because of his dwarfism, he also has a protruding belly. He has a huge belly, as several of his organs are larger than expected for a horse of his size, though not all.

But none of these things seem to affect his quality of life. Like other animals in the sanctuary, he spends his days eating, sleeping, and exploring his pasture.

A horse enjoys being brushed and braided because he enjoys being pampered.

The horse has its unique character and can protect itself.
But he doesn’t seem to like his ability to scare big horses. he just seems happy to be himself. He is a very sweet and loving horse.
