The guy stopped at the shelter to adopt his beloved dog

When the Doctor met the dog, he knew he would do whatever it took to get the pup home with him.
The puppy arrived at Animal Shelter. He was shy and cowardly to most people, his sad eyes melting the hearts of everyone he met.

Elliot went to a foster home to adjust to a house dog, and there he met Dr. Eberhart, a retired orthodontist. «Vet’s roommate was dog’s adoptive caretaker, so he had already dated Elliot when he was in foster care and had the opportunity to get to know him and fall in love with him,» said Mercurio, marketing and communications manager for Shelter.

When Dog became obtainable for adoption, the Doctor made sure he was first in line at the orphanage.
Early in the morning, the shelter staff arrived at work in surprise to find Dr. Eberhart sitting in a folding chair, reading a book at the front door. But for Doctor, the dog’s wait was worth it.

“We noticed that Dr. Eberhart was camping in front of the orphanage… and learned that he was there to adopt Elliot,” “Other people came that morning, but as soon as they found out that we didn’t open until 13:00. that day they gave up and left.”
By the time it was time to meet, the little dog could hardly contain his excitement when he realized who had come to see him. It was a happy and fun meeting, the dog was as happy as if he had reunited with an old friend.

The dog went home that day with the doctor and has since been renamed Leo, an acronym for Love One Another. Since he found his permanent family, the little dog always wants to be close to his new mom and dad, nestling up on the couch or biting on dad’s heels.
