The elephant herd warmly and generously welcomed their new little member who was saved by the rescue staff
Elephants are considered to be clever and sociable animals. They are great protectors of their family and express lovely and empathetic feelings towards each member of their group. This wonderful story of a group, who welcomed an abandoned and rescued baby elephant, shows how kind and gentle animals they are.
Baby Dock was alone in the forest at the age of 9 weeks when the rescuers of Elephant Nature Park found him and took him to their center. The poor creature wouldn’t survive in the woods without his mother and was in a terrible condition so the staff transported him to a rehab clinic.
Dock was confused and terrified. He was so little and needed love and good care. So the workers did their best to make him feel wonderful and be recovered as soon as possible. When the time came to take him to the center the rescuers were worried about how the herd of elephnats would react meeting the new member. And they were amazed and joyful to see them being warm and generous with him.
When they saw Dock they rushed to welcome him in an enthusiastic and happy manner. Though the tiny elephant was in a cage, they approach and tried to reach him with their trunks showing their delight and kindness in that way. They were supporting him and displaying that he was not alone.
This was an incredible act by the herd which was thrilled to meet the new member of their extended family.
