The elder pregnant horse gave birth to healthy twins which is rare sight

While spotting twins among the people is common it is a unique sight in the wild. Especially in case of horses. An exceptional occurance took place as the 16 years old horse Tiki gave birth to twin foals who were fine and good. It was unusual because the mare was senior and it is stated that those who are expectant with twins only 9% delivers properly. So this was an uncommon and significant scene.

The colt was born the first and then the filly, which was stronger than her brother though being the smaller. The owners were attentive to Tiki as it is common for females to abandon their children after the birth but she was so devoted and attentive mother.

It is wonderful for the sweet horse to deliver twins at such a mature age. We hope they will stay healthy and strong.
