The disabled possum could walk again with special wheelchair
The little possum named Kewpie has spent the most of his life in the Wilderness Trail Wildlife Center aftee he was saved from the attack by a cat. He got a severe neck injury and had also a dwarfism, lost his right eye. So as he couldn’t survive in the wild he was under the care of the center.
But as he was getting older his condition became serious. He couldn’t walk or move and maintain balance. Everyone loved him and was connected with him especially the founder Tonya Poindexter. She didn’t give up and did her best to help her lovely possum. She conected with an organization that helped the disabled and injured animals and gained the first-ever possum wheelchair.
Putting in his legs Kewpie began to walk again. It was really joyful for him to move normally with the help of such a construction. He also recovered his leg strength.
Tonya was overjoyed with the result. She was really delighted seeing her sweet animal could stand and walk again. And now it is easy for him to reach somewhere without any difficulty. Thanks to the caring staff the nice creature gained a second chance to live like others.
