Recently her cat gave birth to kittens. The black beauty had five charming babies at once.

A few days later, next to the newly-made mother, they noticed another “kitten”, which turned out to be adopted. It hung around her neck all the time.

It turned out to be a small opossum. No one knew how he got into this family, but the cat turned out to be a kind soul, and took him under her care.

It is worth noting that opossums are born very weak, they must be in their mother’s bag for another 1.5 months, and even after that, they live on their mother’s back for some time. And later they begin to live an independent life.

Most likely, this newborn could not sit on the back of his mother and fell to the ground. It cannot be ruled out that the baby opossum was simply abandoned. And the kind cat, feeling that this baby would not survive, began to take care of him as if he were her kitten.

But the main thing is that from now on the “no man’s” opossum is out of danger. He does not starve and does not feel cold. The day will come and he will become an adult. Then he will leave his foster family.
