The bulldog was ignored by his potential adopter causing him immense stress and drama
Jack is an American bulldog, living his quiet life in a pet shelter in Ohio -the Peaches Bully Rescue.
He is none month old, much eager to have his loving family he never had a chance to live with because of his health conditions.
Jack has a health condition known as spina bifida in dogs, that not only affects his motor skills, nut also his biological needs – he is forced to wear a diaper 24/7 to prevent surprises.
Despite his poor health, he is very cheerful pup looking for his permanent home.
A few weeks ago, Jack had a solid reason to think that he was being adopted by a person, who reached out to the shelter and asked to meet Jack.
So, the team looking after Jack arranged a time and place for them to meet — helping Jack put his best face forward. But on the day of Jack’s big date, all went wrong. The person he was supposed to live happily with, never came.
“He had a bath, got his fancy harness on, had a fresh diaper, and a dedicated foster team that drove 40 mins each way just to end in huge disappointment,” his team wrote on Facebook, adding: “Jack was very sad when his meet and greet person turned out to be a no-show, no-call person in reality .”
After this posting, Jack started getting thousands of toys, gifts and donations on his name as the number of his followers grew immensely after the word was spread about the bad luck of the poor guy.
A bunch of people expressed interest in adopting Jack and fulfill the broken promise made by the potential adopter, who never showed up
The pet shelter announced that they had received as many as 200 adoption applications for Jack and as many as 600 enquiries. At the moment all these applications are being processed by Jack’s rescuers, who anticipate to schedule a meeting with his potential family members in the coming weeks.
The Shelter confessed that they could never think their little Jack would be so widely loved:
“We anticipate that Jack will soon meet his family, and we’ll keep you updated as we track down his family over the coming weeks. Thank you, everyone, for helping us finding him his happy home.”
