The black bear was safely transported to German sanctuary from Ukraine
In these hard days when Ukraine is bombarded by Russian arm forces it is really impossible to imagine the state of numerous civilians who are stuck under the fire. Like people animals have the need if being free and safe. There are many pets that stay in the borders and those who are in zoos scared by the sounds of bombs. But fortunately there are kind people who risk everything to help the poor creatures and cross the border.
One of such fortunate animals was a 7-year-old black bear Malvina. She was evacuated from Ukraine to a German protection center. Malvina had been living in a private zoo in Eastern Ukraine until the occupation, then was tranfered to Kyiv. Soon with some other bears she was moved to Germany by the Animal Protection Association of Schleswig-Holstein.
Taking the animals across the ruined country was extremely difficult. But the result was comforting. Malvina was in Germany rescued and protected. She found her forever home where she is free and safe. Now she is feeling well and happy in her new surroundings and all this thanks to caring people.
