Strange looking deer is saved after days with no food or water

For people who haven’t ever encountered a deer in the wild, these animals may seem exotic and strange. In order to spot them you have to be in the right place.

Colts Neck spotted an animal in the dark that puzzled him. He was thinking that the strange creature had a furry body and long skinny legs but the head was completely round.

To say he was perplexed would be an understatement.

It turned out that this odd animal was a young buck who had gotten his head stuck in a glass bowl that left him no option to eat or drink. And he was travelling alone. The point is that certain species will treat members as outcasts if they are injured or look strange so to not catch the attention of predators, so Colts called up the MCSPCA for help.

After they put the poor little soul to sleep the bowl was finally removed. It turned out to be a light fixture cover. It had probably been filled with water the deer tried to drink. The poor animal was dehydrated but was able to get up after the sedative had worn off.

But it wasn’t all sunshine from then on. The animal had shown trouble breathing. So the bystander contacted the MCSPCA again

Deann Bowen, a vet technician with the MCSPCA, rushed to help the poor buck.

After they adnimistered the fluids he got a new lease on life, and his breath was fixed.

In a couple of months the animal was ready to go. His rescuers made a decision to give him a chance to reunite with his buddies.
