Shelter staff gave their longest resident a standing ovation for finally finding a forever home
The lovely dog Big Mac appeared in a shelter in very pitiful state. He was so confused and scared and din’t socialize with anyone. The staff memebers knew it would be hard and long to get along with him and to find a new home for him. The poor dog felt stressful by the shelter’s atmosphere. It was evident he didn’t trust any human or animal and felt himself so sorrowful and isolated.
The team was looking for someone who would patiently care for the abandoned creature and would give him love and attention. But time passed and Big Mac was still in the shelter. He became the longest resident of it. No one wanted to interact with the sad dog.
But after 260 days everything was changed drastically for the sweet animal. One of the volunteers firmly decided to adopt him as she fell in love with him at first sight. Big Mac began to feel more comfortable with her. He was playing and walking with her and began to trust her and feel happy with her.
And when the time came for them leave the shelter and farewell the others for the last time to go home the team decided to do something special for their lovely member. They organized a standing ovation for him as he went out from the building. The moment was so touching and amazing for both the pet and the woman.
Now Big Mac lives peacefully and comforted with his loving owner. Everyone was really happy for the sweet dog who has found his forever home.
