Poor homeless dog who lived at the garbage dump gives people a paw hoping for their help
Every dog and human is a unique individual. Bertha was a large, shaggy-haired mongrel took custody of some decrepit brethren. When they, at a fixed time, would approach the volunteer’s entrance, Berta would always allow them eat first.
Berta is a half-breed sheepdog curly fur and a wooly tail. Every evening she was looking forward to her benefactress at the entrance. Stray animals were not welcomed in their neighborhood. It was believed that throwing food waste in the trash is better than feeding stray animals.
Bertha was filled with gratitude and, despite her impressive appearance, very gentle. Berta loved to be hugged and was ready to last the sessions of affection for hours. But all the girl could do was food and a little stroke for Berta because the dog sheltel was always full.
One day Berta called the girl with a loud bark. When she went out with treats in her hands, her heart sank. The dog looked very broken. Her wet fur was clogged with snow, and she was standing in a frosty puddle.
The girl knew that she couldn’t leave the dog on the street anymore. The volunteer did not have a collar that would fit Berta, and she had no clue how to persuade the big dog to enter the entrance.
But as soon as she pointed to the door, the mongrel eagerly ran inside and slowly sat down on the carpet at the door.
She was cleaned from snowballs and dirt and let to sit on the couch covered with a plaid. Exhausted and satisfied, the dog fell asleep, embracing the first toy in her life.
