On Lake Baikal, a dog helped save a baby seal, mistaking him for a puppy. And they created a great friendship
A family living on Lake Baikal discovered a seal on the beach, which almost did not walk. He was taken to the station, where Nick’s dog came to help. Most likely, the he confused the baby with a puppy, because she began to lick and look after for him.
The seal was placed near the bathhouse, the pet Nika approached him, licked him for more than an hour, probably mistaking the baby for a puppy. Such care made the sweet animal wake up and open his eyes!
Natalya and her husband decided to give the baby some food. But seals eat in the water, so he was put in the bath filled with water. Nika did not leave her all this time. They called their guest Umka. He was in the bathroom the whole night, and in the morning he got out of it on his own, and Nika immediately began to caress him.
In the evening, the family tried to return Umka to Baikal, but he returned back. The everyone was delighted with this — Nika again began to lick the seal. He was fed again and left to spend the night at the house.
When on the third day Umka was taken to the shore and this time he crossed away. Nika felt sorrowful, but later the owners found something interesting for him to forget his loving guest.
