Mom converted the old barn into a cozy rest house to have some rest from her daily routine

50-year-old Sonia Water has a loving family with her husband and two sons.

Nonetheless, being surrounded by only men for majority of her life, she got tired of the same routine and had a dream of having her own, girlish corner, furnished all by herself, where she could relax both mentally and physically.

“I didn’t have a place in the house where I would feel quite comfortable.” Sonya confessed.

Andrew, Sonya’s husband, was sympathetic to the desires of his wife and decided to help her with this. He tidied up the old barn that was in the backyard and turned it into habitable area.

The inner furnishings and interior design was done by Sonya herself. All the repair costed  the family only  $1,300, as Sonya was buying all the necessary things for the interior for a penny at various market sales and markets. But the candelabra, curtains, antique clocks and even a fireplace went to her for free.

Now Sonya has her own secluded place where she can read or relax, she can invite her friends for tea, coffee and enjoy the company of women only.
