Kefir is the biggest two-year-old cat; he doesn’t even fit into his owner’s bad
Everyone knows that kittens and dogs aren’t only different from each other but also appear to be revealed due to the worldwide stereotype. But one cat goes against the grain.
Kefir is a Maine coon, and he stands out from all cats in any way possible. He is 27 lbs in size, and most people mistake him for a dog. Cats of his breed are typically bigger than others, yet Kefir is two years old, but he is bigger than his fellow Maine coons.
His owner Yulia Minina from Russia, instantly knew that she had to take him home with her. As soon as they got home, she realized that Kefir wasn’t going to be like other kitties.
«He wouldn’t go near dry food and instead had to be fed meat and natural feed,» Yulia remembers.
Although, due to his size, Kefir may seem scary to some, he is just a kind ball of fur.
The big cat’s fur also adds up to his size, so Yulia makes sure to trim him once in a while to make him less intimidating for passers-by and feel lighter. Whenever they have visitors, he becomes the center of attention instantly.
But professionals say that it is usual behavior for Maine coons and that, just like dogs, they are also overly friendly with surrounding people.
«He has one more habit: at night, he likes to climb on me and sleep. When he was a kitten, it didn’t cause me any inconvenience. But now he has become big and heavy, and, of course, it is difficult to sleep like that,» Minina says.
Yet, he can’t really enjoy bedtime with his mommy since he is bigger than the bed.
