Identical twins have celebrated their 100th anniversary and shared significant moments from their life

On December 23, 1921, Norma Matthews and Edith Antonczekki were born in a town near Boston. From the moment their birth, they shared all experiences together.

When the twins were 13 years old, their father left their mother for another woman. In addition, their mother was forced to find work in a shoe factory so that the family would have something to live on.

She and Norma dressed alike, played pranks on their teachers by switching classes, and helped their mother look after their younger brother. They recall how they put on plays and puppet shows, sharing secrets, closets and the same copper bed.

Norma raised three children, but unfortunately one child died at the age of 2 years. For a woman, this was a huge blow. Edie experienced a similar tragedy four years ago when one of her two sons died.

The two had an incredible bond. And when something sad happened to one of them, the other immediately felt and ran for help. They were always by each other’s side.

Ed’s husband, Leo, died in a car accident in 1994, and Norma’s husband, Charles, died of Alzheimer’s a few months later. Saddened, the sisters decided that a change of scenery would help them heal. In 1995, they moved to Florida, where they still live under the same roof, this time in a mobile home park.

Now they live calmly and are in good health. Norma cooks healthy meals like baked salmon and eggs on toast, but the sisters’ real secret to longevity is «don’t drink, don’t smoke and live a clean life to go to heaven.»

According to them, their commitment to the Christian faith helps them in choosing a life path.
