How police dogs comfort children at train stations in the difficult conditions of the Ukrainian war

Dog handlers of the Kyiv police have never been engaged in canis therapy (rehabilitation with the help of dogs) before.

But in the current difficult conditions, the police still decided to help the kids at the train stations, and their faithful four-legged friends calm the kids.

The National Police have shared on the Web a touching selection of photos of these positive «psychotherapists» working.

“Before the war, they were looking for criminals, but today they calm children down, play with them and distract them from this horror in our country in various ways,” the police say.

Canis therapy is a method of treatment and rehabilitation using specially trained dogs. Recently, it has been successfully practiced all over the world. Cynologists claim that dogs have healing power and it can put them on their feet even in the most difficult cases.

In the pictures, we can see how childishly they play with animals with pleasure.
