Gorilla spent her last moments hugging the man saving her
In 2007 the a tiny gorilla called Ndakasi was saved from the forest by the protectors of the Virunga National Park. She was found hanging tightly on her mother who was killed by hunters.
But the sweet animal’s harsh life changed after meeting the caring guardian named Andre Bauma. After bringing the cutie to the park’s gorilla orphanage, the loving man treated her attentively and with a great affection. He even kept her closely in his chest to protect her under the heavy rain to feel warm and cosy. Thanks to Bauma and other people in the shelter Ndakasi and other gorillas were growing healthy and well.
But unfortunately the nice animal’s life reached its end early. She passed away from an illness at the age of 14. It was so haeratbreaking to lose her in her young age. But even her last moments were touching. She passed her very final minutes in her adorable protector’s arms.
There was a strong connection between this two. Bauma was devastated. They were really beat friends and Ndakasi was truely valuable for him, so were all the gorillas living in the orphanage. He and the other guardians will keep and take care of the dear animals in the park.
