Golden Retriever celebrates its 20th anniversary and becomes the oldest Golden Retriever in history
The dog named August lives with the Hatterschids. The dog was adopted six years ago by Golden Retrievers Rescue, a rescue organization that specializes in retriever dogs.
The network of volunteers is dedicated to rescuing unwanted, abused, neglected, and displaced retrievers. They have been doing a good job for dogs since the 90s.
The dog had moved into the house twice before this family accepted her, and she has been living her best life ever since. She recently celebrated his 20th birthday.
This birth is truly a record as the incense became the oldest retriever.
Years ago it was unlikely that she would find a home forever. Most Golden Retrievers live 10-12 years, and most people are not interested in adopting a dog just to watch it pass.
Celebrating this sweet dog’s birthday with her people and her dog siblings, became even more special with a huge poster printed on a delicious cake, big cake.
She is surprisingly healthy to be 20 years old.
She has minimal problems with just moving.
There are many stories of 17- or 18-year-old dogs, and even a few stories of 19-year-old goldsmiths, but Ogg is the first to ever reach that age.
Happy Birthday, Oggy, you deserve all the celebrations.
