Family decided to sleep on the couch to keep their old dog company
As dogs get older they start to slow down but we do our best to make sure they are happy in their declining years.

Meet Spike, a 14-year-old English springer spaniel. He recently suffered a second stroke, which made it difficult for him to get around like he used to, as a result, he was unable to do one of his favourite activities he’s done since he was a little pup: sleeping in bed with his family.

So they came up with a solution: if Spike couldn’t come up and sleep with them, they would come downstairs and sleep with Spike!
Now, every night the family members set up the pull-out sofa and spend the night with Spike to make sure the old dog still has company.
According to Catherine Morris, Spike’s owner, her parents always had a strong bond with the dog.

Spike is not young any more, but one thing is evident: his family adores him. With this kind act, they are proving they will always do whatever it takes to make Spike’s final years as carefree as possible.
They love their oldl boy very much and are so happy to have him in their lives.
