Cat saved from fire helps look after other animals in vet clinic

Russell is an exceptional cat who helps people find hope at the North Carolina Animal Emergency Hospital.

He survived a hideous fire that ruined his home and caused his canine sibling to die.

Sadly, the cat suffered second and third-degree burns, dehydration and fatty liver syndrome.

The situation was pretty dire, but he recovered, cuddling with the other injured or sick animals in the clinic.

He took care for Darla, a cute little fawn. He wanted to make friends with everyone. He is a very curious cat.

Russell underwent many operations and procedures to recover.

He has also been invited to stay here because he cheers people, who are having a bad day, just by being next to them. He was amazingly charming and strove to get acquainted with all the patients and just be with them.
