Bronx Zoo celebrates birth of rare, threatened tree kangaroo
According to National Geographic, the Matshee tree kangaroo is considered endangered species. Since 2008, there has not been a single birth of a Matshee tree kangaroo.
Now the Bronx Zoo is celebrating one of the greatest news of all: the birth of a baby kangaroo. The birth of every cub deserves a celebration because there is nothing more adorable than a baby animal, but when the animal species is in danger of extinction, the birth of such animals becomes a celebration for the whole world.
The baby is still in its mother’s bag, as they remain there for about 6 weeks. The little kangaroo now sticks its head out of the bag, and sometimes it can even climb out of it.
