After spending their entire lives alone these rescued horses have fallen in love

When the horse, named Diplomat, was found tied up in a field in 2015, it was the start of his new life full of happiness.

Rescuers showed up on the location after a call from San Javier police and discovered a skeleton and a wild stallion tied up in a small yard.

Not only did Diplomat have health issues, he was also disoriented and even dangerous.

The horse was very emaciated. He was a big, strong stallion who probably never received proper training.

In order to help the animal to calm down, they made a decision to castrate him. Despite this, he developed a relationship with the first companion they tried to put him with.

It was decided to try to pair him with Conker, a mischievous young pony who lived with several of our older horses and chased them too much.» «It started out great, but they quickly turned macho, each trying to be the ruler of the field.»

The rescuers couldn’t let Diplomat live alone. «Horses are herd animals,» Helbig writes. «So providing them with the company of a companion is essential to their mental well-being.»

Fortunately, the centre has found another one who will make a difference in the hosre’s life.

TGoldi arrived in 2014, suffering from malnutrition and abuse.

Because he had spent his life alone, Diplomat had a difficult time socializing with other horses and didn’t like to share. But it was differnet with Goldie.
