After 50 years in circus elephants finnaly enjoy the blessings of freedom
2 elephants have been forced to spend their lives in the circus. But finally get the opportunity to be free, and their reaction is moving. After more than 50 years in captivity, these charming animals were saved and taken to a sanctuary where they eventually have the chance to enjoy freedom.
Life was exceedingly difficult for Sita and Mia. Been chained their entire life, the 2 sisters have been entertaining crowds at the circus. But the nightmare came to an end thanks to Wildlife SOS – a rescue and wildlife conservation group in India.
These devoted volunteers rescued and took them to Elephant Conservation and Care Center, where they can live for the rest of their lives. Arriving at the center, they debilitated and sick but they found the power to enjoy their first moment of freedom.
While, Sita stepped into a pool for the very first time in her life, Mia found another way to show her relief. She just laid on the ground to rest! The moment was so intense and emotional, it even brought to tears the volunteers that helped these two gentle creatures.
The sisters seem to enjoy their new life. They both look happier than ever. As if they realize they will never have to go back to their former lifestyle. Now they get the rest and the care they deserve.
