A young boy walks two miles to rescue a dying puppy

One day a boy from South Africa walked 3 km alone to save his puppy. The boy is only 13 years old and lives in Delft, one of the poorest areas of Cape Town.

The boy noticed that his dog had stopped eating and had bloody diarrhea, so he went to find help.

He went 2 miles into town to an animal welfare organization that cares for dogs and cats in the area.

An employee from the animal welfare organization called and said: ,,She was very thin, and the boy told us he didn’t have enough money to feed her.

We told him that we would do everything we could to save her life and find her a new loving home that could take care of her. We were so grateful that he brought her to us so we could help her.»

It turned out that the puppy, named Nanook, was suffering from a deadly disease, parvovirus, and without treatment she would not have survived.

To keep her spirits up, Nanook was regularly visited by other kittens from the shelter.

I think it was a combination of the kittens and the fact that one of us was there for her all the time, giving her affection and inspiration.» said Stöckigt . Rescuers are looking for a loving home for Nanook.

She was ready to die if she didn’t eat.

The adorable dog hopes to find a home soon!
