There is no such thing as a coincidence. Today we are going to tell you a story about Lauren Maners, a woman who saved seven lives by saving one.
One day the heroine of the story was walking home after her pregnancy ultrasound when she saw a skinny exhausted cat on the side of the road.
The woman couldn`t resist and decided to take it home. Lauren`s husband tried to talk her out of this since the woman was going to give birth soon and had enough on her plate as it was. But Lauren felt the meeting with the cat happened for a reason.
After a couple of days, it turned out that the cat was also pregnant! Dove, as she was named, received a lot of love and care, her health improved, and the vet said the labor had been just around the corner. The woman and her newfound friend spent most of their time together.
When it was finally time for Lauren to go to the hospital, Dove stayed at home.
Lauren safely welcomed to the world a daughter Kylie, and the next day her husband brought some amazing news — Dove also gave birth!
In the confusion, no one clarified the exact time, but Lauren firmly believes that she and Dove were giving birth at the same time. Luckily, all children of this family – one daughter and six male kittens — were born healthy. Lauren decided to leave one kitty, white as his mother, to be a friend of Kylie, and found new homes for its brothers.
Even though it wasn`t easy for a soon-to-deliver woman to take care of a sick stray cat, Lauren Maners took the risk, and she wouldn`t trade it for anything.
