A woman from the USA flies to Ukraine to rescue disabled dogs
The war in Ukraine claimed many lives not only of people but also of animals. From pets separated from their families to zoo animals fighting in war zones, innocent animals continue to be at grave risk.
Fortunately, some people rush to help. As a woman from the USA who flew to Ukraine to rescue disabled dogs.
Emily Franko, 27, traveled to Ukraine to help disabled dogs in the war-torn country.
Emily has experience in helping disabled dogs. She previously worked with the Animal Rescue Rehabilitation Center. Her pets include elderly cats and two dogs with special needs.
«The crisis in Ukraine is unimaginable, and I’m not surprised that Emily went out of her way to help people and animals.»
Emily flew to Europe, bought a car, and went to Ukraine to rescue abandoned, crippled dogs, taking them to safety across the border.
«I only save disabled dogs,» She told. «A lot of organizations don’t do it. If they do, it’s like one in 1000.»
Unfortunately, Emily will soon have to complete her mission and return home. Her car was also damaged during a recent rescue mission.
But even if her mission ends, she can still be proud of the dogs she helped along the way.
Traveling around the globe can be a daunting task, but those who know her well will not be surprised.
«She has a very special heart that guides her and motivates her to feel sorry for abandoned animals.»
Thanks to Emily for making such an effort to help disabled dogs in Ukraine.
