While some people take pets from shelters or turn to breeders, others find their future pets right under their feet. This is how American Jessica Adams became the owner of a tiny pink lump she found on the ground as she walked home with her son. The pet’s parents were not around, so Jessica decided to save the baby.
American Jessica Adams was taking her son home from kindergarten when she saw a little pink lump on the ground. It turned out to be a tiny squirrel that had apparently fallen out of its nest due to a strong wind. His parents were not around, the nest could not be found either, so the woman took the baby to her home.
The woman woke up several times during the night to check on her ward. The little squirrel was okay, and he survived his first night in his new home.
The baby was named Steve.
Jessica had to feed him milk from a syringe because he was too young to feed himself.
According to Jessica, she felt like she had a baby at home again.
Thanks to the efforts of the human family, Steve was quickly gaining strength.
Soon Jessica even took Steve with her to work, where she still fed him from a syringe. According to the woman, her husband called her crazy.
Soon the baby squirrel had his own home on the street.
While Steve lived in the house, he was very fond of chewing on books and other objects and wrestling with plush toys. Outside, though, he got a chance to have some outdoor fun.
But one day when Jessica came home, Steve wasn’t at the cabin.
She cried for a long time because her pet was missing. After a while, however, Steve came back looking for food. The woman says she realized her pet was perfectly capable of being independent, so she didn’t have to worry about him.
Soon Steve found a girlfriend and Jessica was feeding all the neighboring squirrels.
Even though Steve is now a free adult squirrel, he doesn’t miss a chance to visit his human family.
