A kind german shepherd is an ‘adoptive mom’ for orphaned fawns

A dog’s haert is compassionate when it comes to soothing those in need, if it’s dogs, humans, or other animals. Sarge is a 9-year-old German Shepherd who shows great compassion for orphaned fawns. The dog’s owner – Cheryl Stephen is a kind-hearted woman, who is always willing to help. So a lot of orphaned animals have been adopted by her, including some adorable fawns.

Buckwheat was Cheryl’s first fawn, and the dog’s protective instincts kicked in the instant he encountered her. The sweet dog began to function as the small creature’s “adoptive mother.” He trailed her around everywhere, wanting to make sure she was safe.

Buckwheat had grown from a vulnerable fawn to a powerful fawn, and Cheryl felt it was time for her to be released into the wild. Sarge was heartbroken, and his mother thought he would never be as gentle with other animals as he had been with Buckwheat. But the unselfish dog was quick to correct her.

Sarge immediately exposes his intentions when Cheryl brings additional orphaned fawns to assist them to recuperate. He’s rushing to babysit these adorable creatures. “Sarge goes into action when I walk through the door carrying a fawn,” the woman explained.

“He wants to inspect them, so he’ll feverishly sniff and nose about to see how they’re doing.” Sarge attracts the fawns, who feel comfortable in his company.”
