A devoted dog keeps the victim warm all night until help arrives.
Meet this brave Malamute who saved his father in the most difficult of circumstances.
Last Saturday, a young man was injured and landed at an altitude of 5,600 feet on Mount Velebit. The 27-member rescue team tried to climb the snow-capped mountain range that borders the Adriatic Sea, but it was difficult due to bad weather, ice, and tree branches.

The rider was climbing with his dog. When it got dark and the temperature dropped, the dog refused to leave his father, guarding him and warming him up to help.
North passed without injuries, but his friend, the young climber, was not so lucky. He hugged her and warmed her body.
The rescuers reached the hiker and his dog around midnight, the next morning they were able to provide them with medical assistance.
Thanks to North’s dedication, his father survived the night and came down the mountain.
“North’s loyalty didn’t end with the arrival of rescuers,” the Facebook post continued. “He was one of us, guarding his man for 13 hours. By this example, we can all learn to care for each other.”
North is now at home resting and receiving plenty of treats and pets, while his father is expected to make a full recovery.
The puppy is called a hero, but for a furry boy, he was just doing what any friend would do — making sure his buddy got home safely.
