A 13-year-old boy from Africa draws people very precisely. It seems that these are not drawings, but photographs

Talented people are born at all times. They don’t need to attend specialized courses to prove themselves.

Karim Waris Olamilkan was born in Nigeria into a simple family. He is very good at drawing and began drawing at the age of 6.

At the age of 8, Karim, together with his family changed their place of residence. Fortunately, the Iovole Professional Art Academy was not far from his new home. Academy students were painting in the street, and the boy began to observe them with passion. The little artist realized that he wasn’t the only one interested in drawing.

The academy director saw Karim’s drawings and was impressed by the child’s talent. The man helped the boy with admission to school, and at the age of 8, he became a student.

Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, our hero does not always manage to realize his ideas. Karim’s family is helped to pay for his education by a teacher. But money for special paper, paints, brushes and other supplies for drawing is not enough. About his work, the boy says, «My family works hard so that we have something to eat. And this inspires me.»

The main style in which the boy works is hyper-realism. He draws people’s faces in great detail.

One of Karim’s successful works is called «Daily Bread»: the boy sits down at the table after a hard day’s work and begins to eat, his face showing veins and drops of sweat. The meaning of this picture: earning money for food is hard work.

Karim believes he has a great future in the art world. He plans to graduate from the academy and seek opportunities for further study. Today the boy has subscribers on Instagram, who admire his creativity.
