Abused pony hugs man who saved him at the last moment before selling him for meat
When Natasha and Kirk Hance moved to a small farm in Fort Worth, Texas, they wanted to give their five children and rescue horses an open space where they could gather and thrive. But they had no idea that eventually more horses would come into their family.
The couple stumbled upon a fierce horse auction held at the estate. Most of the buyers were from slaughterhouses. This was in response to the high demand for horse meat in countries such as China, Germany and Switzerland. Kirk ended up rescuing two mini-horses just before they were sent to the slaughterhouse. Tobias, one of the rescued ponies, showed signs of extreme neglect and abuse. He sat with his head down all day, staring at the ground. He avoided the family’s attempts to touch or pet him. Kirk seriously feared the horse was severely depressed.
But after 48 hours, Tobias finally realized that he was saved and that the love he was receiving was limitless. He finally accepted Kirk as his father and embraced him with relief and happiness. This video of Tobias hugging his new father will melt your heart.
In the video below, you can see how Tobias finally realized he was safe and hugged Kirk to express his gratitude.
