Little Chihuahua gets piggy back rides every day
Unbelievable bonding stories between different animals are widely known, yet difficult to believe.
Another example of such a story was between a Chihuahua dog and a boar.
The couple was homed at Better Piggies Rescue, a non-profit sanctuary in Phoenix, Arizona. The rescue organization was caring for more than 140 boars in their territory.
One day, Danielle at Better Piggies Rescue received a call from the Arizona Humane Society telling about a boar and a dog they had picked up from a private home. The Arizona Humane Society informed Danielle of this odd couple and wanted the Better Piggies Rescue to bring them in.
Chihuahua loved to ride on boar’s back and the boar didn’t mind that at all. Still, when the little chihuahua would try to ride other boars, they didn’t love it.
Pumba, that was named of the boar weighed about 175 pounds and was huge, so the dog could even have some snacks on his back while riding. Soon the dog was named Timon. He would go out to check on Pumba and see what the pig was up to. He would also be there all the time to see if anything interesting was happening.
The history of the pair’s bond and their relationship was a mystery. Danielle assumed that the two were abandoned and had nobody to take care of them except for each other.
Pumba was very social — he would welcome every volunteer and greet them. Timon was also very communicative and loved to cuddle with Danielle.
According to Danielle, pigs are generally very intelligent species and might get emotionally attached to each other. So most possibly Pumba just thought that Timon was, though very thin, but still a boar. And this is how they story started.
