Woman finds a dog sitting on her porch and gives him home

Amy Haden got an unexpected surprise one morning seeing a dog sitting comfortably on their porch in the backyard. Since Amy’s family already owned two dogs, Amy  initially thought it was one of her dogs, but her daughter quickly figures out it was not.

In the interim, the dog was happily making himself comfortable on their patio furniture.

“I had  a feeling  he had taken up residence,” Amy said in her interview. “He completely made himself comfortable on the pillows  without even thinking to leave.”

The dog was clearly feeling happy at his place: day after day, he would come back to the same porch and refuse to move out.

Amy began caring for the dog, as she realized the dog was in need of a family. She started her search of a family for him, reaching out to  people via Facebook

The dog had no microchip, so it was clear he did not have owner at all, none of the neighbors claimed him too. So Amy had no information where the dog came from, where he had been or what he was. Amy allowed TikTok users to name the dog and Walker was the most voted name for the dog.

Amy  continued to care for Walker for the next few months.

Thankfully, Amy soon found the perfect new owner for Walker, a  lady, who had been praying for a new dog.

“She was super sweet,” Amy  said . “She told us that she had been praying for a dog like him and that we were the answer to her prayers.”

Walker definitely picked the right porch to stay on – thanks to his temporary foster family he has now found a loving home of his own. Amy’s video of Walker is below;
