It was hard to look at this dog without crying. But love and care turned her into a real cutie

Sometimes you shouldn’t judge someone «by their cover,» whether it’s a person or a dog. The heroine of this story is Pippa, a Chihuahua who was only 7 weeks old. It was hard to look at the baby without tears: she had no fur, and all the skin was covered with sores. After seeing her picture, a girl named Amanda Harris went to a shelter in Atlanta to pick her up and take care of her.

Pippa didn’t come to the new place alone; she had her entire canine family with her: her mom, dad and brother. They were all suffering from scabies, but Pippa was the weakest.

Amanda began caring for the doggie, gradually revealing her character and kind heart.

Even though Pippa’s skin was sore, it didn’t stop her from constantly snuggling up to Amanda.

Pippa’s treatment consisted of special baths, skin medications and proper nutrition. After a while, the scabs began to heal, and fur was breaking through in their place.

Amanda already had 2 large dogs, one of which was a huge pit bull weighing about 36 pounds. But the size difference did not embarrass Pippa at all. She chased the tails of her big brothers and cuddled up to them. Amanda also took her to work with her every day.

Amanda showed Pippa’s life on social media, and the doggie became popular.

That’s how Pippa found her true home. Terry Dickenson and her family saw the doggie and were so captivated by her that they decided to «adopt.»

In the meantime, Pippa’s fur had grown back.

Pippa is doing great in her new home.

She has already made friends with the dog who also lives with the Dickensons.

The decision to foster Pippa is considered by her new owners to be the best decision.
