A rabbit the size of a dog is looking for a lover who will love her completely
When the RSPCA received a report that numerous rabbits were not being well cared for, the service sent a team to explore. When they arrived on the scene, they were stunned by what they saw.
Not only were the 47 rabbits kept in little, cramped and dirty conditions, the rabbits were Flemish giants, so many of them were just immense.
The biggest weighed about 18 lbs and was the size of an average dog.
The cages in which the rabbits lived were too small to house them, and they were not treated with proper respect at all. After the rescue, they were all examined by a veterinarian to make sure there was nothing wrong with their health.
Trevor Walker, RSPCA inspector, stated, «These poor thing were living in crowded and unsanitary conditions that would have been unbearable for them, especially in the heat.» Fortunately, the veterinarian found that they were all healthy; one of them was taking medicine for his watery eyes and a cut on the back of his neck.
With the exception of a few minor problems, all the rabbits are doing fine in the care of the RSPCA, and once they have time to settle in and come to their senses, they will be put up for adoption.
