A beautiful fluffy car was abandoned but got help from kind people
Somewhere in Virginia, a family sold their house and moved, leaving their pet, a beautiful and furry ragdoll cat, outside.
Once out in the cold, the former pet was in shock and began walking around to other houses in the neighborhood, trying to find food and shelter there.
One day the cat came to the home of a concerned woman who already knew that the cat had been abandoned by former tenants in the neighborhood and she was very indignant about this and the animal’s plight.
«Here in Virginia the winters are very cold, so luckily the cat found shelter at my neighbor’s house. True, her husband is allergic to cats, so she put the cat in the garage. There he has food, water, toys, a heater, a warm blanket.
However, the woman understood that this was only a temporary shelter. So she called an acquaintance named Debbie, who was a volunteer at the cat shelter.
Last week, Debbie came over to take the cat in.
«He’s absolutely gorgeous, and his personality is very gentle, docile and sweet. And he immediately started acting like he’s been living here for a long time and going everywhere.» — Debbie tells me.
The plump, fluffy coat and regal build seemed to have suffered a lot during his time on the streets. Now he hardly ever left people’s side and followed volunteers around all the time.
«He’s like a bucket full of love. Because of that and because of the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday, I gave him the name Valentino.»
Because of his life on the streets, the cat’s beautifully groomed hair was a bit dirty and tangled in places. But it was more important to cure an upper respiratory infection. Valentino also received many vaccinations at the vet.
The cat looked about 2 to 3 years old, had tangles of hair removed with scissors, and was given a course of antibiotics to treat it.
«The whole clinic staff was thrilled with him. He was purring and rubbing his hands all the time! He even tried to rub his feet when people were working on the computer.»
Everyone thinks Valentino deserves a much bigger fate than life in a shelter. Debbie is now actively looking for new owners.
