The woman enjoys fishing with the bear she had saved

Fishing is one of bears’ favorite activities because they enjoy eating. But it seems too much of a challenge when a huge brown bear is fishing with a human on a boat! Believe it or not, this wonderful woman and her rescued bear do it every day. Meet Archie, Veronica Dichka’s huge mate!

Archie the bear spent most of his life in a safari park, and because of that, he couldn’t be released into the wild, even after he was rescued. Unfortunately, this usually happens to wild animals that have been kept in captivity too long. However, his life changed dramatically when he met Veronica two years ago.

This kind woman decided to take care of this gentle giant and take him in. For more than two years now an unusual but beautiful friendship has existed between them! He was rescued from a safari park, but because he had spent his entire life in captivity, she could not let him go back into the wild.

The couple was recently caught on camera while fishing together on a lake in Novosibirsk, Russia, and these adorable photos look like something out of a fairy tale. Although they spend a lot of time together, fishing remains their favorite pastime. Perhaps it’s because they both love new adventures.

Archie lives with us full-time and, according to Veronica, loves the water. He loves it when I introduce him to new places. We eat together, sleep in my arms when we’re scared, and hide from each other like family members. Because he has spent his entire life in captivity, we were able to rescue him from the safari park, but we can’t release him into the wild.
