Touching moment when blind elephant, rescued from circus, is greeted by herd in sanctuary

This female elephant has the saddest story, but luckily it ended when volunteers rescued her.

For a couple of decades, this 30-year-old giant was exploited for carrying tourists on her back through the streets of Pattaya, Thailand.

Shortly after her arrival at the Chiang Mai Elephant Nature Park, a particularly beautiful scene occurred when the herd at the sanctuary welcomes the new resident.

What happens next is probably one of the most touching scenes you have ever seen. The whole herd came up to the poor elephant to offer her their infinite comapssion.

After only a few moments, the elehpant realized that she was in a place where she had ultimately found love that she had never had before.
