Adorable shelter dog takes care of all her toys like they’re her babies

Volunteers from the animal welfare group Viva Bicho Santos have lately saved a scared homeless dog they spotted whining in the street in Brazil. The poor thing, who was named Samanta, was pregnant, but she had some health issues.

Unhappily, even though the dog ended up in safe hands, her frail body turned out to be too weakened to carry her babies to term.

After losing the babies, Samanth’s rescuers did their utmost to cheer her up. They gave her gifts in hopes they would soothe her heartache.

But they only reminded her of what she had lost.

«We threw some toys on the floor trying to get her to play, but soon we saw her taking them one by one and putting to her bed,» Viva Bicho Santos wrote in her post. «She accepted the toys as if they were her children, and now she takes care of them.»

The resceurs had lately taken in a young homeless dog Sarah, who looked distressed without maternal care.

The rescuers came to a decision that the 2 should meet. Shortly their hearts were mended.

Samanta’s weak body still needs some time to recover, but thanks to Sarah, her haert is on the road to recovery, too.
