Elephants running to hug the angel who brought them up after they lost their parents to ivory trade
For our decreasing wildlife populations, prohibited poaching is a true disaster. Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick, an animal rights activist, has devoted her life to caring for baby elephants orphaned by poachers who kill elephants for their tusks.
Daphne has been caring for these helpless creatures since 1977. In the beginning, the young elephnats had a very tough life without their mom. But over the years, thanks to her, a special feed and milk mixture that gives the elephants the nutrition they need to develop normally, has been developed. The elephants have a strong sense of family, so they run to their adoptive mother and hug her every time they see her.
Then, the woman became aware of the large number of rhinos being killed for their horns. She expanded her crusade to include them.
All animals bred by Daphne are released into their natural habitat when they are strong enough.
