Adorable footage showing lion crouches down to meet his cub for the first time
Usually, a lion does not feel good about its newborn baby. But the male in the video below can’t wait to see his cub for the first time. The lovely video was shot at the Denver Zoo.
The newborn weighs 12 kilos and was born on 31 July and since then has spent time only with his mom. So the zoo crew came to a decision it was time for the baby to meet its family. And the moment he met his father of 2 years was shared on the internet. The cub will soon make his first public appearance.
He is playful and active! Denver residents know Neliah and Tobias, the cub’s parents, but the baby hasn’t yest given a name.
The zoo reached out to fans to help choose a name for the cub. The names available are Meru, the name of a mountain in Tanzania. Moremi, the name of a nature reserve in Botswana, is another option. Or Tatu, the Swahili word for the number 3 as the cub is the lioness’s 3rd cub. The zoo invites everybody to donate $1 and vote to the 3 finalists.
