Mourning dog visits the beach every single day to stare at the ocean after his owner passed away at sea

Dogs are very loving and faithful to their owners, even after they’re gone. These loving creatures have great emotional intelligence and seem to realize when their loved ones have died, and can mourn them in their own ways. Some of them can even pay respects at their gravesides.

Like one sweet dog, who can be found holding a seaside vigil for his owner, as shown in bittersweet viral photos.

Jolie Mejía was visiting the seaside down of Punta Negra, Peru when she spotted an unexpected sight: a dog was on the beach all alone, staring attentively at the ocean.

It seemed like he wasn’t abandoned. He was wearing a ribbon around his neck. His fur was clean. Jolie went closer, petted him, waiting for his owner, but time passed and no one came.

The dog didn’t want to do anything but watch the ocean waves. Believing that the poor dog had nowhere to go Jolie was about to take him in.

Shortly, a man came along and clarified that the dog was at the beach every day, for a tragic reason.

His owner was a fisherman who died not long ago.

The dog, named Vaguito, seems to realize that his beloved owner went out to sea one day and never came back. Maybe he understands his owner has died and is holding a vigil for him, or maybe he hopes one day his master will return.

He was getting excited every time he saw boats.

Vaguito’s story is heartbreaking, but Julia was happy to hear that he wasn’t alone. Everybody in the area knows the dog and loves him feeding and giving shelter.

But nothing can replace his deceased owner.
